Exhibition-contest in Stupino


1. TARGETS AND OBJECTIVES.
1.1. Promoting of scale modelling as type of technical creativity and leisure.
1.2. Advancing of technical knowledge and skills of pupils of educational institutions.
1.3. Promotion of historical heritage of Russia.
1.4. Work on military-patriotic education of children and youth.
1.5. Development of friendly relations between modelers, clubs and studios.
1.6. Support of the government program for the development of scientific and technical creativity of Youth.
1.7. Exchange of experience, involvement of new participants.

2. MANAGEMENT AND HOLDING OF THE EXHIBITION-CONTEST.
2.1. "Patriot" scale modelling club performs the organization and direct management of exhibition- contest.
2.2. A contest is held as a part of exhibition of scale models.
2.3. The organizing committee of the exhibition- contest defines members of the judicial colleague (jury) and the chief judge. The chief judge is approved for all term of action.
2.4. Procedural documents of the exhibition- contest are published on the official site of “Patriot" scale modelling club (www.kitsm-patriot.ru) and can be updated if any additions and/or changes occurs. All changes in these documents will be published on the homepage of the website in the section "News".
2.5. Possible appearance of symbolic of Germany and Finland of 1933-1945 by producers of models on boxes, other packing, the decals, and also publishers in the printed materials, with the subsequent reproduction on exhibits of our exhibition, is made only for reliability of historical material and as an inseparable historical element.
2.6. The organizer has the right to make photo and video sessions of the models presented on the exhibition- contest and the subsequent publication of materials in mass media.
2.7. This Statement is the intellectual property of the "Patriot" scale modelling club. You can use the entire document, or partially, as well as the use of terms and concepts, only for non-commercial purposes, with mandatory indication of the source.

3. VENUE.
3.1. The exhibition- contest will take place in Stupino’s art gallery “Nika” (8, Bakharev St., Stupino, The Moscow region, Russian Federation) from 12th to 26th of August, 2017.
3.2. Opening hours of art gallery “Nika”:
Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 9AM – 6PM (lunch hour 1PM – 2PM).
Thursday 11AM – 8PM (lunch hour 3PM – 4PM).
Saturday 9AM – 5:30PM (lunch hour 1PM – 1:30PM).
Sunday, Monday – gallery not working.
3.3. The entrance to the exhibition for participants is free of charge, for other visitors there can be an additional payment (20…40RUR)

4. PARTICIPANTS OF THE EXHIBITION-CONTEST.
4.1. Everyone, without age limits, the direction of modelling and grade of works, and the collectives created by territorial or any other principle at the time of registration, is allowed to participate in the exhibition-contest. The command structure line-up is not limited.
4.2. Participants of the "adult" age category (18 years and over) of the exhibition-contest, registered in electronic form before August 1, 2017, pay a registration fee in the amount of:
4.2.1. 300 rubles when transferring to a bank card (the requisites are indicated in the "Participant's memo"), regardless of the number of works exhibited by the Participant.
4.2.2. 350 rubles upon arrival to the exhibition, per Participant, regardless of the number of exhibits exhibited by the Participant.
4.2.3. Those who have not passed the electronic registration, pay a registration fee of 500 rubles, regardless of the number of works exhibited by the Participant.
4.3. The participant of an exhibition has an ability not to participate in a contest with his models –the participant must inform the Organizing committee beforehand when filling the exhibition’s application form.
4.4. The participant – the person who is the author of the model (exhibit) exposed at the exhibition- contest. In case of identification of the fact of conferment of authorship, the identified Participant will be disqualified.
4.5. In case of impossibility of personal presence at the contest-exhibition the Participant can delegate his rights to the third party.
4.6. All of the exhibits presented at the exhibition must be necessarily provided with a base (bases). The size of the base should be a little bigger than the size of the model. An exception is allowed for the exhibits in transparent boxes. Questions on placement models without stands or exhibits of a large size should be resolved with members of the Organizing Committee during the passage of registration.
4.7. Every participant of the exhibition-contest is considered to agree to all of the terms and conditions of the event and must be agree with them. In case of breach of the rules of the exhibition-contest, such participant will be excluded from the number of participants, and his exhibits will be disqualified.
4.8. The Organizing Committee does not pay the travel and accommodation expenses of nonresident authors and clubs, but can send to potential participants a formal letter with invitation.
4.9. The expenses of foreign participants for travel, food and accommodation are subject of their own expense (or by expense of the sending organizations).
4.10. At the request of the participant of the contest, the organizer makes a mark about participation in the travel documents of the established sample.
4.11. Masters involved in conducting master classes, are invited by the Organizing Committee. By prior agreement, the Committee may reimburse the expenses of invited masters from other cities for travel.
4.12. PARTICIPANT HAS THE RIGHT:
•To supervise his models;
• To claim the model in a certain nomination;
• Member of the Junior contest can, if desired, declare his work in the adult contest.
4.13. PARTICIPANT CANNOT:
• To challenge the decision of the judges;
• To take more than one prize in the same class of the contest;
• To participate in more than three classes of contest;
• To take his exhibit (model, diorama) out of exposure before the time indicated by the organizers (unless specifically agreed cases).

5. CATEGORIES AND CLASSES OF THE CONTEST.
5.1. A contest will be provided in three age and one special categories:
5.1.1. Сhildren’s category (kids till 13 years all (inclusive));
5.1.2. Junior category (teens 14 - 17 years old);
5.1.3. Adult category (from 18 years old);
5.1.4. "Master"- special category.
5.2. Classes of the contest:
5.2.1. Children category contest classes:
AK – Aircraft.
BK – Fleet.
CK - Civil cars and bikes.
DK – Dioramas.
FK - Figures (including fantasy).
VK - Vignettes (including fantasy).
MK - AFV and other military vehicles.

5.2.2. Junior category contest classes:
AT1 - Propeller airplanes.
AT2 - Jet planes and helicopters.
AT3 - Civil aviation and spacecrafts.

BT1 – Submarines.
BT2 - Surface ships and vessels.

CT1 - Cars, motorcycles, bicycles and similar.
CT2 - Average and heavy machinery: trucks, tractor, construction and other cars.

FT1 - Coloring of the serial-produced figures.
FT2 - Figures - author's works made from scratch or conversion more than 50%.
FT3 – Figures - real persons.
FT4 – Figures - fictional persons (people).
FT5 - Fantasy figures.
FT6 – Busts.

ET1 - Vignettes (maximum 5 figures and vehicle).

5.2.4. Adult “Master” category contest classes:

5.2.5. Special contest categories:
S1 - AFV and other military vehicles in local conflicts.
S2 - Aerobatic Display Teams.
S3 - Carrier-based aircraft WWII.

5.3. The category “Master” is open for all who wish to compete at higher level. Participants who have received a gold award in the category “Adult” or any award in category “Master” in our contests from 2006 to 2015 (Standard basic), ought to exhibit their works only in the category “Master”. Meanwhile, for example, the participant of the category “Adult” — “Aircraft”, who gained a gold award can participate in the category “Adult” — “AFV”. Everyone can participate in open (mixed) categories. We want to give a chance of successful performance for as big number of participants as possible.
5.4. Only previously non-exhibited in Stupino’s exhibitions models are accepted to participate. (Participation of models in any other exhibitions is not an obstacle to participation).
5.5. One participant may expose up to three works for the same class of contest (number of works for participation in the exhibition is not limited).
5.6. The contest in the class is considered valid if there are represented at least 3 works of different authors. The distribution of prizes in the category defined by the Jury.
5.7. Children’s and junior categories have three places in each category that will be awarded with valuable prizes and diplomas. In the “Adult” category, three places in each category will be awarded with valuable prizes and diplomas; among Adults in Master category who took the first place in each category will be awarded with the medal "Winner" and a diploma, and the second and third place – diplomas.
5.8. The Organizers have the right to change the class of contest for models according to their own opinion.
5.9. The Organizing Committee may grant awards from organizers and sponsors according to results of the contest, as well as the Grand Prix.

6. THE JURY.
6.1. The jury consists of the chief judge, judges and secretaries. The chief judge performs the general management of contests, makes a final decision on controversial issues.
6.2. The judge judges the models presented on contests. Secretaries provide receiving and delivery of works to the exhibition-contest, signing of reception acts, and registration of results of work of the jury.
6.3. Judges are organized in the jury by specified directions (AFV, Aircrafts, Dioramas/figures). The jury of the direction consist of at least three judges.
6.4. The models presented on the exhibition by members of the jury will not participate in the contest or evaluated without the participation of the author.
6.5. Decisions of the jury can't be commented and appealed neither during the contest, nor after it.

7. GENERAL PRINCIPLES OF THE JUDGEMENT.
7.1. The Judgment will be performed privately, without participation of visitors, participants and their official representatives.
7.2. The information plate which supplies each exhibit contains the name of an exhibit (work), the producer of a set of additions (aftermarket).
7.3. The assessment of model is made visually. In order to avoid damages judges won't touch any model therefore it has to be established on the support which may not surely be prepared as a vignette or a diorama (mirrored stand is acceptable). Rigid fixing of an exhibit on a support (basis) isn't obligatory. In case the model isn't fixed, the exhibit is supplied with the corresponding plate which is provided by the Organizer. The exhibits which aren't supplied with a support to a contest aren't allowed to participate in the contest (but can take a part in exhibition).
7.4. The participant of the category "Master" is obliged to present brief historical information about selected prototype of his model and the photo of a prototype; quality of such photo should allow to identify an exhibit to the jury and judge correctness of its construction. Photos of the main stages of assembly of model are OBLIGATORY!

8. FINANCING OF THE EXHIBITION-CONTEST.
8.1. Financing of the exhibition-contest is carried out from means of "Patriot" scale modelling club, donations and the sponsor's help.

9. RECEIVING AND DELIVERY OF MODELS (exhibits).
9.1. Delivery of exhibits to the exhibition-contest, its preparation for exposition is carried out by the Participant or his official representative.
9.2. For participation in the exhibition-contest it is necessary to fill the registration form located on the website of “Patriot” scale modelling club at http://www.kitsm-patriot.ru/ in the section "Scale modelling Exhibition" with the indication of personal data and the list of works.
9.3. The participant (or his representative) of the exhibition who electronically registered till the 1st of August, 2017, on arrival to the exhibition will receive a set of documents from the organizing committee after payment of the registration fee (Or verification of receipt of non-cash funds). After that the exhibit should be prepared by the author (or his official representative) for an exposition and then it should be established to a certain place under the leadership of one of secretaries of the exhibition.
9.4. The participant of the exhibition who electronically registered after the 1st of August 2016 or who wasn't registered after payment of the registration fee will receive forms of documentation on model. These forms should be filled by participant himself and then he will be able to establish his models to a certain place under the leadership of one of secretaries of the exhibition.
9.5. Process of reception of works to the exhibition will be started at the 1st of August, 2016 in the showroom of Stupino’s art gallery "Nika”, 8 Bakharev St., Stupino, the Moscow region, Russian Federation. Reception will be performed daily 11:00 till 20:00. Exceptions can be allowed only for nonresident participants who have to be coordinated till the 1st of August, 2016.
9.6. Process of reception of works to the contest will be performed from the 1st of August till the 24 of August in the showroom of Stupino’s art gallery "Nika”, 8 Bakharev St., Stupino, the Moscow region, Russian Federation. Reception will be performed daily 11:00 till 20:00. Exceptions can be allowed only for nonresident participants who have to be coordinated till the 18th of August, 2016.
9.7. Returning of the works from the exhibition-contest will be performed by secretaries ONLY according to the second copy of the registration form provided the participant or his representative.
9.8. Returning of the works from the exhibition-contest can be made only in the presence of the member of the organizing committee on the line order. It is strictly forbidden to participants to take away models themselves!
9.9. Returning of the works will be made strictly on the 20th of August, 2016 after awarding ceremony. After the specified term organizers won’t be responsible for safety of works (except specially coordinated cases).

10. ORDER OF PROVIDING OF THE EXHIBITION-CONTEST.
10.1. Responsibility for providing of the event with security measures is conferred on the organizing committee.
10.2. Organizers are not responsible for possible damages of models(exhibits), but make all efforts to prevent such cases.
10.3. In rooms of Stupino’s art gallery "Nika” is strictly forbidden to smoke and drink alcoholic drinks. The persons allowing unworthy behavior, disturbing public peace and norms of human morals will be disqualified.
